Contractor Chats  provides insight into successful small contractors, large prime contractors, reps from government agencies, and other resources. This month features Sharad Gumatse, Founder of Red Cedar Consultancy, LLC.  Red Cedar, a recent graduate of the Mason Enterprise Center in Leesburg, is a HUBZone Certified, Woman-owned, economically disadvantaged small-business providing IT Services in the areas of Systems Engineering, Information Technology, and Program Management Office (PMO) services and solutions to the Federal Government and Commercial clients since 2011. Sharad will share some strategies they employed and ways they have used their certifications to grow their company.

They employs more than 30 professionals in 10 locations in over 5 states, and calendar year 2017 revenues rate exceeds $2.5 million. Their federal customers include the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS), Dept. of Education (DoEd) Federal Student Aid (FSA), and Dept. of Defense (Air Force) among others.
