Six local art businesses will participate in an exhibition at the Mason Enterprise Center (MEC) in Leesburg starting April 7th, 2017. The exhibition features a diverse range of mediums and styles from artists Kathleen Howsare, Doris Kidder, Barbara Wilson, Photoworks, Constance McKnight, and Kim Richards. The public is invited to attend the opening reception April 7th 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM as part of Downtown Leesburg’s monthly First Friday event. The reception will include live music from Tom O’Neil, coffee from local roaster Rocsato Roasters of Purcellville, and the artists will be on hand to talk about their works.
This exhibit will run until June 23rd and the center will host further receptions on May 5th, and June 2nd in conjunction with First Friday. This initiative is a partnership between the MEC and Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA). FOLPA provides funding, advocacy, and volunteer services to foster the growth of arts and culture in the town of Leesburg, VA. The MEC is an extension of George Mason University which offers incubator-style office space for growing businesses and hosts the Small Business Development Center which provides coaching and education to businesses throughout Loudoun County.
