Our new event called, Contractor Chat, provides an interview-style insight into large prime contractors, successful small contractors, reps from government agencies, and other resources. This month features the Mason Enterprise Center alumni company B3 Group Inc. Dwight Hunt, President & CEO, and Brad Palmer, COO and founder, will be on hand to share their journey and give you insights into steps they took and key decisions they made along the way that helped build their company into a successful government contracting business. In less than 10 years they have amassed over $17 million in government contracts. Notably last year they were awarded, as one of twenty companies on the T4NG $22.3B IDIQ contract at the Veterans Administration. (further description below)

Mr. Dwight Hunt joined B3 Group in 2011 to serve as the President and CEO. He had a distinguished twenty year career with the U.S. Army and served in a wide variety of Acquisition positions. He has achieved DAWIA Level III certifications in career fields that include: Information Technology, Science and Technology Mgt, and Program Mgt. While on active duty he served as the Assist. Systems Mgr, Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems; Systems Mgr, Rapid Prototyping Facility; and Department of the Army Systems Coordinator, Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Additionally, Dwight was the U.S. Army Materiel Command-Field Assistance in Science and Technology Team Leader (Iraq). He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy, and a M.S. in Information Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Mr. Brad Palmer was one of the founders of B3 Group in 2008. After several years of consulting in the private sector, serving several public and federal clients, Mr. Palmer sought to create an organization which would enable him and other like-minded professionals, to serve as trusted partners and advisors for their clients. The spirit of being an industry leader through servant leadership in IT laid the foundation for B3 Group. Over the last ten years, Mr. Palmer has worked with the DOL, FEMA, USAID, Freddie Mac, DHS , and the Dept of Veteran’s Affairs. Mr. Palmer is PMP Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University, as well as an MEd from Clemson University in Higher Education Administration.
