MEC-Leesburg member Inveniam Capital Partners graduated from the Mason Enterprise Center in June of 2018. The letter below is from Chuck Shotton, Inveniam’s CTO.

Inveniam Capital Partners was started in January, 2017 as a FinTech company focused on bringing efficiencies to the middle market private debt business. Inveniam are the first to fully tokenize debt issues on a public blockchain for listing and trading on global exchanges and as of Q3 this year, we will have originated, structured, and sold over $100M of debt instruments on behalf of small and medium-sized businesses across the US and Europe.

When we began, the company was geographically distributed, with team members in New York, Michigan, Florida, and Virginia. Our technology team in VA was tasked with creating the platform, which automates the investment banking processes and handles all of the interactions with the Ethereum blockchain to produce our tokenized debt offerings. The Mason Enterprise Center in downtown Leesburg was a perfect fit for our organization. Susan Henson and her staff helped us quickly get productive office space up and running, and provided our company with an environment for meeting with investors and potential clients. We were able to use the MEC facilities to interview and recruit new engineering talent, and the proximity to historic downtown Leesburg has been a great incentive to attract prospective employees from the NoVA tech corridor.

Thanks to the head start we achieved through partnering with MEC, we’ve gotten a technology product into the market that would have otherwise required many more months to produce, have had numerous successful meetings with investors, and the company is on track to produce more than $2M in revenue this quarter. It’s been a fantastic 12+ months being part of the MEC family and we are pleased to say that the team is graduating to new space only 2 blocks away on King St.  We hope to stay actively involved in all of the events and seminars that MEC provides and hope to be able to collaborate with investors and companies in Loudoun and NoVA that they continue to introduce us to.
